đź“„ Overview
This project focuses on developing an efficient, tool-supported modeling approach for the transformation and integration of engineering data across diverse engineering domains within production system design. The project is carried out within the DIAMOND project framework, with a focus on AML standards and PPR methodology to improve data logistics and enable seamless data exchange across engineering tools.
🎯 Objectives
Enable transformation and integration of engineering data across different domains using AutomationML (AML)
Analyze existing engineering data exchange workflows and identify inefficiencies
Design a concept-based methodology for data integration derived from stakeholder inputs and literature
Support Round-Trip Engineering (RTE) for bidirectional data exchange between tools
Align the solution with Asset Administration Shell (AAS) standards for flexible, adaptive production systems
Facilitate traceability of engineering changes supporting Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
🧠What I Did (Role: Project In Charge)
Conducted state-of-the-art analysis focusing on PPR methodology, AML standards, and digitalization in engineering
Analyzed current engineering data exchange workflows, identifying manual data handling issues
Designed a common concept-based modeling methodology for seamless data integration
Developed and implemented a prototype application to transform and integrate engineering data across tools
Validated the approach using diverse test cases and stakeholder feedback for practical usability
Working on exporting centralized integrated data back to tool sinks such as Asset Administration Shell (AAS)
Targeting Round-Trip Engineering (RTE) to achieve bidirectional data exchange, ensuring traceability of changes and supporting MBSE practices in production system development
